Manage TradingView Alerts with Google Sheets

TradingView’s built-in alert panel is functional for individual alert management, but it was not designed for traders who need to manage dozens or hundreds of alerts across multiple instruments. Connecting TradingView alerts to Google Sheets with TVAlertsManager gives you a structured, searchable, editable database of every alert you have set — and the ability to update them all in bulk without touching TradingView’s alert dialogs.
Why Use Google Sheets for TradingView Alert Management?
Google Sheets is one of the most powerful free tools available for structured data management. When you combine it with TradingView alert data via TVAlertsManager, you get capabilities that TradingView itself does not offer:
- Bulk editing — Change a value across hundreds of alerts at once using find-and-replace or formulas
- Full visibility — See all your alerts in one view, sortable and filterable by ticker, exchange, timeframe, or indicator
- Persistent backup — Your alert configurations are stored in your Google Drive, not dependent on TradingView
- Team access — Share your alert sheet with a trading partner or assistant without sharing TradingView credentials
- Version history — Google Sheets automatically tracks every change, so you can roll back to a previous alert state
- Integration — Connect your alert data to other sheets, dashboards, or tools using IMPORTRANGE, Google Apps Script, or Zapier
How TVAlertsManager Connects TradingView to Google Sheets
TVAlertsManager is a Chrome extension that runs directly in your TradingView browser tab. It does not require you to share your TradingView login or route data through third-party servers. The extension reads alert data directly from TradingView’s interface and writes it to a Google Sheet you designate.
The core workflow has three steps:
- Save — Click “Save Alerts” in TVAM. Your TradingView alerts are written to Google Sheets as structured rows.
- Edit — Make any changes you want in the sheet. Add rows, modify values, use formulas, or bulk-update fields.
- Load — Click “Load Alerts” in TVAM. Your updated sheet data is applied back to TradingView automatically.
What Data Gets Synced to Google Sheets?
When you save TradingView alerts via TVAlertsManager, the sheet captures the key fields for each alert:
- Alert name
- Ticker and exchange
- Indicator and alert condition
- Timeframe
- Alert message / webhook payload
- Expiration settings
- Pause and delete flags
All of these fields are editable in the sheet and writable back to TradingView on load.
Backup Your Alerts Automatically
One of the most underrated benefits of managing TradingView alerts with Google Sheets is automatic backup. Every time you save your alerts to the sheet, you create a timestamped record of your full alert configuration. If your alerts ever disappear — due to a TradingView plan change, expiration, or accidental deletion — you can restore the entire set from your sheet in minutes.
See our dedicated guide on how to backup TradingView alerts for the full process.
Creating New Alerts via Google Sheets
You do not need existing alerts to use TVAlertsManager. You can create new alert rows directly in the sheet and use TVAM’s Load Alerts function to create them in TradingView. This is the fastest way to create multiple TradingView alerts at once — especially when you want to replicate the same alert configuration across many tickers.
For example, if you want to create the same RSI alert across 100 tickers, you can:
- Set up one template row in the sheet
- Copy it 100 times
- Paste your ticker list into the ticker column
- Click Load Alerts in TVAM — all 100 alerts are created in TradingView
Alert Automation and Webhook Management in Sheets
For traders using TradingView webhook automation, Google Sheets becomes the central place to manage all your webhook message payloads. Instead of editing each alert’s message field individually in TradingView, you maintain your payload templates in the sheet, use formulas to generate the correct format, and load them via TVAM.
Premium TVAM users also have access to the automation webhook interval feature, which can push updated configurations to TradingView automatically on a schedule without manual load operations.
Filtering Alerts in the Sheet
Google Sheets’ native filtering is one of the most useful tools for alert management. You can filter your alert set by:
- Exchange (e.g., show only BINANCE alerts)
- Ticker (e.g., all BTCUSDT alerts)
- Indicator name (e.g., all RSI strategy alerts)
- Timeframe (e.g., all 1H alerts)
TVAM also supports filtering on the extension side before saving. This lets you save only a filtered subset of your alerts to the sheet without overwriting the full set.
